Robert Dyas was bought in July 2012 by Theo Paphitis, one of the former investors on TV’s Dragons’ Den.
Since then, the company has shown improved year-on-year results and driven a programme of investments in marketing, buying and merchandising initiatives.
Having successfully pitched for the lifestyle photography in early 2013 and beating some pretty large retail agencies, we were given the responsibility of producing the core lifestyle images, both in the studio and on location, including front covers.
We attend initial briefs and product walk throughs, offering photographic guidance along the way. Once product nominations are in, we would scamp up layout compositions, submit and amend as directed. Running parallel to this; we would take delivery of products, assembling, logging and carefully storing samples ready for shooting. Once the scamps were approved we cracked on with the photography!
